are 2 nice letters from the West Virginia Tuberculosis Association, Charleston, WV dating 1921. The first letter, with the red TB symbol letterhead, is in regards to the urgent response needed to battle TB. It states that people are dying in WV at rate of 125 per month and that a State Senate Bill, No 298, has been introduced by Sen Jesse Bloch for the appropriation of $150,000.00 for the benefit of the States sanatoria for 1920-21. It is signed, Geo. C. Rowell, Exec Sec'y. The second letter is a news release about the above mentioned bill and states that State Board of Control has requested $287,000.00 for use at the Terra Alta and Denmar facilities. The release goes on describing each facility and the seriousness of the TB epidemic. Shipping is US 1st Class Mail $3.00 or Priority Mail $5.00. Please contact seller for overseas rates.
