D.R.K. Sanitatslager Babelberg 35 Black Leather German Medical Pouch This is a true find for any collector. Although it does not have any of the medical supplies these are a rare extremely hard to find item. Black leather, I have seen a lot of brown leather ones lately, however none that are black. Roughly 4" tall, 6 ½" wide and 3" thick. Looks new and unused inside and out. No rubbing or chaffing of the leather and the leather is like it was new. Stiff were its supposed to be and supple w its supposed to be. The studs are all good as is the leather straps with holes that go over them to secure it closed. Now my understanding of German isn't the best but I will attempt giving the "label" some meaning. DRK - Deutsches Rotes Kreuz or German Red Cross Sanitatslager - Kinda sketchy but Medical something and male in gender Babelsberg - W it was made 35 - The year it was made Now I did find what was supposed to be in them and I will include that at the end. Also t is mention of the listing of supplies that is in the top of the lid. This does not have one nor does it look like it has ever had one. Maybe just a bit before they started or some didn't get them. I don't know. Medical Aid Pouches (Sanitatstaschen): Worn on the belt, and attached to the "Y" straps, these pouches were made of either black or brown smooth leather. The
