This is a terrific homefront, dramatic original (1942) World War 2 poster that shows a Navy Officer pointing his finger right at the viewer and saying, "The Navy Needs you on this Job- No Delays- or Idle Days. Don't Slow up the Ship". It was published by the U.S. Navy Incentive Division in 1942 in order to encourage War production. The dramatic use of pointed finger is reminiscent of the Uncle Sam posters. The poster was at one time folded. This size of this poster is 40 1/4" x 30 1/4". The edges show numerous tears and rough spots. T is some folding in the center fold w you can see a gap. Most of the paper appears to be folded under. The bottom fold in the middle is split from just below the center to the bottom ( an easy repair)- see scan. Color is spectacular. Offered with a modest opening and no reserve.
