Original WW I SPANISH MAUSER 'SHORT' BAYONET AND LEATHER SCABBARD in very good condition. Bayonet fit Spanish Mauser model of 1893 and the later Short Mauser (Mosqueton) of 1916. The single edged-single fuller, Blade is in good shape for its age and measures approx. 15 1/4" long, overall length is approx. 20 1/4" long. One side of the blade is marked the trademark "ARTILLERIA NACIONAL TOLEDO (Worn SEE PHOTO). The other side is stamped 5499 on blade guard. (SEE PHOTOS). Checkered Wood grips intact, with original screws. Button & spring works fine.This item is part of my deceased uncle's large collection of militaria. I am not a collector and have to rely on what my uncle labeled on the item. The photos are of the actual item and is sold as is. Carefully look at the photos and email any questions.
