This is a WWII U.S Army Corps Aerial Dead Reckoning computer with original leather pouch and number scale plastic tablet that slides into the instrument as shown in pictures. Being from WWII it shows signs of age. But works like it should and in excellent shape. Minor surface scuffs, scratches and wear, normal for this kind of instrument. Tablet appears to be stained. I also want to note that in the pictures of the instrument without the tablet inserted it appears as if the computer has a brown center this is actually brass or copper behind a clear plastic screen (in which you insert the tablet behind) Could be cleaned up and ligh tly oiled. Letters numbers and all writing still very clear as shown in picture. Whoever owned this during WWII etched a few letters on it....they appear to be notes to remember how to use the instrument. These are actually hard to find with everything intact with the plastic protective screen undamaged and with original case. It was a nice find. This would be a great addition to any collection. Very advanced for its time. If you have any questions feel free to shoot me an email.
