This auction includes a rare, one of a kind, first aid kit from WW II. I'm not exactly sure which branch of the millitary this was issued to, but I do know this is very rare. This item includes alot of stuff, most of which is in fair to excellent condition. Most of the items in this pouch have never been use, seals have never been broken, etc. This is the contents of this auction. 1. The Pouch, which appears to have fastened to a belt. It is in great shape. The color might have slightly fade since it's glory days but otherwise it looks remarkable. T are not any holes nor tears or rips. T is a metal pin that is fastened directly above the belt loop in the back. I don't know what this was for. The two snaps are not loose around the fabric. They don't have any scratches and are not bent or rusty. They snap in place and fit like a glove. The "U.S." lettering on the outside has faded a little, but is clearly visible and legible. On the inside the lettering "AVERY 1945" is bold and clear. It does not show it's age one bit. 2. "First Steps to FIRST AID": It is a paper fold out that explains how to treat fractures, burns, among other things. It has quite a few folds and creases, but not any tears. Its very clean, has only a few yellow tints and t, but looks very preserved. It was manufactured by Johnson & Johnson. 3. A box containing a Bandage, Gauze, Compress: field brown 4" x 4" sterilized Dyed Dressing. Manufactured by: Johnson & Johnson. The box is in fair condition. It's edges show alot of wear. It has never been opened so the contents inside, I assume, are in alot better condition. The writing on the box is clearly legible. T is not any water damage or any other type of damage, other that what I listed above. 4. Two small jars that contain water purification tablets. They don't appear to have been opened, but the tablets no longer hold t pill shape. The labels on the bottles do not show any signs of wear. The ink is clear and legible. The corners of the label are still fastened tight to the bottle. 5. Another curious item is what I assume to be a moriphine capsule. It is in fair condition, and has been used. The cloth is still intact and the capsule does not appear to be broken other than the area under the cloth that I can not see. 6. Tincture of Iodine: produced by HLH. 1/2 FL. OZ. bottle that has been opened and maybe 1/5 of it's contents has been used. Again the label is in excellent condition, and the cap doesn't have any scuff marks. 7. Cutter HI-LO Suction Snake Bite Kit: it is a large olive green, rubber capsule that pulls apart in the center to reveal a P.V.P. Iodine Swab, that has not been broken ( it's contents are safe inside). Inside is also a scalpel, still inside it's protective rubber sheath. It shows absolutely no signs of rust, wear or tear. It looks new. T is also a long piece of green twine and the instructions that are also in wonderful condition. 8. Abosorbine jr. Liquid in handy applicator (2). These two are sealed. One is in fair the other is in good condition. 9. Absorbine jr. Foot Powder (2). Both are sealed. One is in fair condition. The other is in ruff shape, though it has remained sealed. 10. Sealed Q-tip. It was probably supposed to be use as an applicator of some kind. This is a rare one of a kind treasure for any collector. This belongs in a display case so it can be marveled. I hate to part with such a rare relic, but would rather it be in the hands of some one who can truely apprieciate it. I will try to answer any questions you may have about it, but please understand that I am not a collector and unfortunatly don't know the history behind this important piece. If anybody recognizes it from the many pictures I've uploaded, and would like to fill me in on the history of this piece, I would appreciate it.
