JAPANESE SIGHTER I recently acquired a large collection of vintage compasses and other similar scientific/field instruments from an estate. These are not my area of expertise but they all seem to be in working order unless otherwise noted. But ask any questions that concern you prior to bidding and I'll do my best to respond quickly. I will be listing them all over the next few days so please check the listings again. Here's an in teresting vintage item that I believe is from WW II era Japan. This might have been used to calculate target distance or sighting but I'm really not sure. It measures 3/4" thick, and 1 7/8" x 2 3/8". Cannot translate so can't help in that regard. But it is also marked No 15121 J.E.S. On one flat side there is a level. On a thin side, you look through when held up to the light and move the little slider on top to see ruled mark ings and the slider moving back and forth inside. W ear to metal but otherwise not too bad for its age. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THIS LISTING AGAIN PRIOR TO THE END OF THE AUCTION IN CASE THERE HAVE BEEN REVISIONS OR ADDITIONS TO THE INFORMATION. NEW YORK STATE RESIDENTS MUST PAY SALES TAX OR PROVIDE VALID RESALE NUMBER. Shipping notes: Combined shipping available on multiple auction purchases so please see my other sales. Hawaii, Alaska & International shipping is extra. ALASKA, read more
