is a classic transmitter from the WW II era "Command Set Series" used in aircraft of the era. This one from "Navy Department of Ships, Aircraft Radio Transmitter CBY52208. Unit of ATA Radio Equipment." This radio is in way above average condition. A lot of this gear was requisitioned by hams at War's end and modified in ways sometimes hard to imagine. It has no mods and is in pristine condition. Tube complement is pair of 1625's, 1626 and it still has the 1629 magic eye tube. This one has been calibrated for use from 5.5 to 7 mc and again, from 5.05 to 7.15 mc. This data is charted on paperwork found inside the set and also the front tuning dial has a homemade chart indicating same. The dial underneath the homebrew chart is just fine and the adhesive backing on the homebrew dial may be removed without any harm to the original dial. Even the felt on the back of the top covers is still green and shows no signs of moth damage. This is an excellent collectible and I'm sure a quite usable low power transmitter.
