WW II US NAVY PILOT/OFFICERS - COLLECTION
AVIATORS FLIGHT LOG BOOKS/OFFICERS HAT/TRAINING STATION YEARBOOK World War II US Navy Officers collection of items hat named to Lt. Vito Romano, USN Naval Air Station Training Center 1943 Cadet of Flight Class 8B 42-P(C). You get an officers hat, the 1943 FLIGHT JACKET yearbook from Pensacola Air Training Center and 3 Aviators Flight Log Books. NAVAL PILOT OFFICERS HAT.....Nice Bancroft Naval Officers Hat with insignia, the anchors are marked Sterling, the Eagle is not marked that we can see. The label inside the hat is marked Bancroft Militayr Caps Maker of Fine Caps for over 50 years Framingham, Mass. The hat size is approximately 7 1/4. No holes, the white does show very minimal aging. The leather sweatband is in very nice condition. All stitching is intact. It has ownership tag on inside for the same officer mentioned above. THE FLIGHT DECK 1943 MARK I Edition U.S.N. AIR TRAINING CENTER Pensacola, Florida...this is a large yearbook size album showing the cadets of 1943 from the Air training Center. Has individual photos of all cadets including the cadet mentioned above as well as great photos, great artwork and advertisments from the time. Has sections on FLIGHT TRAINING, GROUND SCHOOLS TORPEDO BOMBERS, and much much more... AVIATORS FLIGHT LOG BOOKS...you get three 2 of which were filled out by the pilot mentioned above with dates time, pilot names, type of aircraft flown hours, instructors signatures, station stamps from various bases flown into etc. The two brownish colored Log Books have multiple entries, the blue book has only the pilots name on the first page.
