This item up for auction is a very neat and unique piece. Its a 1930s vintage Razor Blade Sharpener. Its actually holds a double sided razor blade and spins the sharpening stone inside for a while then automatically flips the blade over and sharpens the other side. Its about on of the neatest devices I have ever collected. Kept from having to keep buying new razor blades. Made by the Rhodes Co, in St Louis Mo. This unit comes in the original box with the original direction of use. Even has the warrantee papers in it with the Guarantee. Its quite an incredible piece of gear. The unit was actually patterned in 1922, but it was widely used through the 1940s and beyond. This unit is a perfectly working piece and a very unique vintage item. You dont see too many of these babies running around. Just a fine early vintage collectable for any display. Enjoy and thanks for browsing our items.
