I HAD TO RE-LIST THIS ITEM DUE TO A NON PAYER ON EBAY! The items up for bid is a fantastic collection of a WW1 driver for the US Ambulance Service. His name was Private Addison H Smith. Addison began his service as a driver in 1916 serving with French and Italian military forces. Some of the items in this grouping list him with the 542nd Section Ambulance Service. He was discharged on May 16th 1919. This grouping consist of everything he brought back at the end of the war. Unfortunately t is no uniform, but t is everything else, including all the insignia off his uniform. I photographed the items as I took them out of the trunk. T are so many numerous items to list and the high bidder will receive several little pluses with this grouping. First t is an oil portrait. T are photos, medals including his cased Victory medal with 2 bars, his boxed Occupation medal, Italian war medal, buttons from his uniform as well as his overseas stripes and discharge stripe. Also in the group found in the box of insignia was a ribbon for the Iron Cross and a Prussian cockade off of a spiked helmet. The grouping also a very well filled out Diary talking about his day to day activities including the horrible after affects of War. T is also several letters written by him to mostly his mother talking about his personal experiences. The early letters are read more
