WW1 British War medal & Victory medal Lieut D L Moore Douglas Lewis Moore was KIA 22/4/1918 age 19 while serving in the 1st Bn Somerset Light Infantry The 1st Bn Somerset Light Infantry had 66 men & 3 Officers as fatal casualties between 14/4/18 - 22/4/18 others KIA 22/4/1918 3/7451 Cpl W Axe,28140 Pte W H Beale,204775 Pte A Dewar,32378.Pte E G Ralph,40691 Pte R J Ward. Douglas Lewis Moore was the son of Lewis Moore The manager of a Jewellery shop. The family are on the 1911 census .69 Telford Ave,Streatham ,Douglas is age 12 He was educated at Battersea Grammer School He went to France 11/12/1917 as a 2nd Lieut joined 1st Bn as a Lieut 16/2/1918 KIA 22/4/1918 medals in very good condition (EF ) mounted for display on original silk ribbons.
