World War 1 era Airplane propeller manufactured by the Buffalo Aeroplane Corporation in Buffalo New York in 1914. This propeller was manufactured for use on the Curtis model F flying boat. The primary users for this airplane was the United States navy, Russian navy and the Italian navy. T was just over 150 of these propellers made. The propeller is 8 feet long with eight 3/8 inch bolts with a 2.75" bore that is 4" deep. The propeller is made of mahogany with copper tips. From the tips of the propeller to 24" down is gold in color and the middle is a reddish brown stain. Markings are SE5280LH, N18941, 8x4.12, 2 BA. Corp. and PN153. T are two decals that read Buffalo Aeroplane Corporation, Buffalo N.Y. U.S.A. It also reads Buffairo in the center. Small print in the lower center reads Air screws Bonitas Prima. The decal is gold and green and is round with a 5 point star in the middle. This propeller is in very good condition for being almost 100 years old.
