Genuine WW1 Death Plaque ARTHUR HEATHER Born in Crawley , Sussex , in 1890. Son of Henry Heather, a gardener and later rector’s coachman, born in Loxwood , Sussex . Mother: Lucy Hard, born in Alford, Surrey . Enlisted in Brighton . G/19692. Private. 9 th Battalion, Royal Sussex Regiment. Killed in action, France , 21 Mar 1918 . Aged 27. No known grave; his name is on Pozieres Memorial, Somme , panel 46/47. Military records not traced. Entitled to British War Medal and Victory Medal. Plaque casting reference 40.
