Here I have a first pattern WW1 French helmet. The helmet comes with the original badge, as you may know is a rarity these days. The helmet has original paint and has very light surface rust in areas (nothing serious, would probably come off with a small bit of TLC). Sadly the helmet doesn't come with the liner. Underneath on the back and front is a name, presumably the battalion and year (hard to see on pictures, but quite easy to see when viewing). With some research, you will be able to find out the person that original used this. No amount of photos would do this helmet justice. It's a nice display piece, has a story and will constantly increase in price. This year is a century since the start of the Great War, so here's your opportunity to own a piece of history.
