OFFERED FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION WITH NO RESERVE: One 100% Original World War One BADEN Enlisted Pickelhaube in un-issued near MINT condition. First of all, Baden is one of the scarce ones to find, they had a tiny contribution to the German Imperial forces, there are probably 100 Pussian Pickelhaubes for every Baden. This example is textbook, unit marked " JR 170 " and maker marked " Julius Jansen Strassburg 1915 " both stamped in ink. The condtion is superb (I have never seen one finer). Beautiful smooth leather surfaces shine with original mirror surfaces, no crazing or dullness, just light scattered marks and storage wear. All stitching is tight as a drum except one small section of back bill, metal fittings have 98% Original Feldgrau painted surfaces. Winged Griffen Front plate is absolutely stellar and has never been removed, two holes line up and were always there. Interior is great with all leather toungues supple and beautiful. This cap is the best example you will ever find and in near MINT condition suggests that it came out of a captured depot. Add a chinstrap and cockades and you will have one of the rarest helmets in the best condition anywhere! This is absolutely 100% guaranteed original! Thank you and I WILL NO LONGER SHIP TO ITALY!!!!
