We have for auction an original World War 1 era German Butcher Bayonet. Sadly, no scabbard. The blade (14 1/2"in length) is in excellent condition, with the exception some discoloration and perhaps some very light pitting toward the tip. The blade is marked Stahlblume - R.K. - Schulte & Co. - Gevelsberg - with a trumpet blowing angel. The wooden handle is in excellent condition and thought the bayonet shows some obvious signs of use it is in great shape. We believe this to be a Model 1898/05. Better in person than in the pictures. We have many other bayonets including 2 Police Stag Handles. We have attempted to establish a fair and reasonable reserve on our items. Please e-mail us with any questions you may have regarding any of our auctions as we are not experts and are not familiar with everything we list.
