We now offer this WW1 Imperial German Iron Cross marked [C D] 800 (RARE) maker and Certificate of Award with photo of winner. The WW1 German Imperial Iron cross second class is three part construction having 2 silver frames and iron (magnetic) core and is maker marked [C D] 800 on the ribbon ring and original award ribbon of issue. The Award Certificate was issued to "Musketier" Friedrich J A S P E R S of the 341st Infantry Regiment. At the time of notice of winning the Iron Cross Musketier Jaspers was 18 years of age. This award was issued in the name of the Kaiser of Germany and King of Prussia on the June 10, 1920. and singed by the major of the 341 Imperial Musketiers Infantry. The Certificate reads "Im Namen Seiner Majestat des Kaiser und Konig ist dem "MUSKETIER Friedrich J A S P E R S von der 3 Komp. Inf. Regt.341 on 28.2.18 Das Eiserne Kreuz II Verliehen worden and signed by Major of the 341 Regt. of Imperial German Army. The Certificate and photo of JASPERS come in the original glass frame. The 341 MUSKETIER Regt served on the Somme and at Verdon. We will not break up this grouping. All items in this auction are original and come direct from Hamberg,Germany.
