We have for your consideration this original WW1 Iron Cross 1914-1918 and original ribbon attached to this is a mint "Next of Kin" or Widow's WW1 Honor Cross" dated 1914-1918 with it's original and quite rare to find award ribbon. Please note the tiny gold safty pin that holds these two items together. This little two medal group arrived attached together and will only be sold together. **I feel sure that attached together they were something very special to the original owner! The iron cross is maker marked by "Wilm" on the sealed ribbon ring and is constructed in the 3 part method having 2 silver frames with solid black (magnetic) iron core with all details of high, clean and crisp striking. Attached by the tiny "gold" pin is the "Widow's Cross" or as sometimes called the "Next of Kin Honor Cross" that is maker marked with the rare raised (PS) a very highly skilled maker. Note of interest: the iron cross is 43.0mm in size making it a true WW1 manufactured piece with no splittin of frames. Both ribbons are 100% period issue and have been checked using the UV light test to prove authenticity. Please do not ask us to sell either piece without the other!! That would break my heart!!
