This item has been relisted because "Banzai1941" purchased it with "Buy It Now" and never sent the money. As before, Buy it Now price is higher than the reserve price, but if purchased in that manner and paid for in 48 hours gets you free shipping in the continential USA. You are bidding on a WW1 German Maxim with everything you see Some pits and evidence of heavy rust internally, but many of the original marks show clearly. All these parts were glass bead cleaned so what you see is solid metal with most of the hard work done and except the final fitting of the parts. No floor plate, but I made a patial floor in the frame. Rear sight spring is modern made. Included is the very hard to find cut "Side plates" which are worth $200.00+ alone. This Maxim had been dewat cut by tourch and has been welded then filled with a machineable plastic steel putty Devcon #10110 (a modern space age composite based epoxy) then painted. You have a solid example that is stronger than the original metal and will be less expensive to buy than most of the 08/15 parts. Maxim parts are getting scarce and when rarely offered on the market bringing higher & higher prices. Since I have no idea of the buyers level in metal working skills; I must sell as is.
