For your consideration in as found authentic condition is this unique Mills "Rimless Eagle" four pocket cartridge belt. The four pockets are "woven" and have not been repaired nor altered. Through some limited research, I have found that these 1 1/2 inch deep pockets were for the 1909 New Service .45 Long Colt and each held four rounds. Also, in the research, I learned that the .38 calibre depth was 3/16 of an inch less. But please study the photos. Much of my research was done by using "US Martial Web Belts and Bandoliers: 1903-1981 by R. Stephen Dorsey" (page 51)....Besides being a wonderful human, his book is very good too....In its current adjustment, it measures approx. 33 inches and in real life is "green". If you study the photos and see a light green, that's the color.....I have some other Mills Eagle Snap and military items listed that you might want to check out.....thanks and good luck, TLKAY
In response to many questions and thanks to all, the patent dates stamped on the back of the brass adjuster are Jan. 29, 1901-Mar. 29, 1904....Again thanks to all and regards, TLKAY
