WW1 US Army Wool Garrison hat with Musicianâe(tm)s InsigniaOne of my personal collectables that I am offering for Auction. This hat is in nice condition, but does have some moth holes. They are located on the right front side, and some small ones on the left rear. The hat is of a lighter wood material with a leather sweat band and a light bluish grey liner of a satin material. The Musicianâe(tm)s insignia is sewn on with a black thread. It appears that the insignia was painted with a gold colored paint. Insignia may be made of copper or brass. T is a greenish tint in part of the front of the insignia, and all gold color on the backside. T is a small amount of green haze on the material under the insignia. I think that this is a good indicator that the insignia has been t for a long time. T are no markings in this hat. I would guess the size to be around 6 ½ to 6 7/8 ths
