Original Navy Officer's Dress Belt and Buckle worn by Lt. Commanders and lower ranks. 1 1/2" wide Black leather reverse with bullion cloth obverse with 5 narrow stripes, and a gilded 2" X 2 1/2" Buckle with a gilt hook. The buckle shows a raised Naval Emblem with right facing Eagle to the center of a raised oak leaf ring border with no visable maker's stamp. This belt has the hook and the hangers and snaps are in good condition. No chape but appears to have never had one. Some wear to the rear of the belt and light greenish tarnish to the metal parts, but all in all in excellent condition. This small sized Belt and Buckle would display very well.
