WW1/WWI US Doughboy Gas Mask/Bag/Extras + PROVENANCE!
This is a WW1 Doughboy Gas Mask with nose clips, bag, repair kit, anti-dim comtainer and wire resting stand for the filter. This may have been equipment used by two different people. The bag has writing on the side that says "T.L. Dukes, Co K 324 Inf" Inside the repair kit it has written "William Rice OC 15, 1918" The gas mask is marked with a 3 as well as the carring bag. The nose clips are inside the mask. It has the mouthpiece. The mask also has the numbers 239H676Q. The hose is marked 22 and is still attached with the original tape. The filter was painted green as has HERO inside a cross shape on the top. The other side on the top has 238H with a J under that. The repair kit is still attached to the neck of the filter and is intact with the repair piece inside for tears in the hood. The inside flap of the bag also has two rows of numbers. The top reads 1311790. Under that is S-18-30-1427. The cannister with the Anti-Dimming Stick is complete with the contents of the stick and the rolled fabric. This seems to have all of the attachments and accessories that it would have originally come with. The addition of the names on the bag and the the repair kit give you a really deep sense of history as you hold this piece, knowing the names of those who had used it so many years ago. All/Any items won must be paid via paypal within 3 days or money order within 10 days, unless you notify us that you are bidding on multiple items. After 10 days you will receive one notification. If payment(paypal or money order) is not received and no arrangement has been made, the item will either be relisted or offered to next highest bidder. You will be blocked for nonpayment and will not be allowed to bid on our items for at least 30 days. Please bid responsibly.
