Offering this WW2 era Bomber/Fighter Pilot leather jacket with sheepskin. The condition on this jacket is not too good, but it is a scarce type militaria for the collector as you don't see too many offered. This Army Air Force jacket is made by Aero Leather Beacon N.Y. and the size on the collar tag is 42R. This jacket has a pilot's name in leather sewn on jacket and has Major insignia (not metal) on collar straps. The B-6 was modified from the B-3 and made lighter with less collar sheepskin than the B-3 and has sheepskin on the waist and the collar sleeves. Has two flush-type pockets sewn on the front. These were mostly worn by Fighter Pilots as they were lighter in weight. Condition of the jacket is not very good with a lot of chafing and hole through the jacket were the insignia strap was attached. The two zippers on the back and the main zipper on the front are rusted and do not work. Green corrosion is present on the buttons and zippers. The interior sheepskin is still pretty nice except a hole up w the insignia strap broke through. The other insignia strap is also very weak and ready to go if pulled on very hard. Sheepskin is somewhat dirty up mostly on the collar. Overall ok, but for display purposes only. I've supplied plenty of pictures and used a marker pen to show breaks.
