1944 'restricted' flying map depicting the area surrounding Birmingham - to Atlanta in the north east; Charleston in the north west; Meridian in the south west; and Columbus in the south east. Colour. Measuring 48 inches by 24 inches. All aeronautical feature illustrated plus, additionally, roads, rivers and railways and other geographical and topographical features. In good condition with only the original folds. Very slight foxing to the margins of the map. Marked in crayon - presumably by the pilot who was its original user - with various flight courses from Selma Airfield to various other civil and military airfields within the area of the map.

1. I prefer payment by Paypal but I will accept Euro cash or a Euro cheque drawn on a French bank account. In the latter event please e-mail me for my exchange rate and a price in Euros. I do not accept PayPal for payment by residents of Metropolitan France, who must make payment by Euro cash or a Euro cheque drawn on a French bank account.
2. If Euro cash is sent in payment, this is entirely at the purchaser's own risk.
3. Payment must be made - that means confirmed Paypal payment or receipt by me of the purchaser's cash or cheque - within 96 hours of the end of the auction. I reserve the right to re-offer the item for sale if payment has not been received by then. This is without prejudice to my right to recover from the non-paying purchaser the difference between his or her winning bid and the price achieved (if any) as a result of re-offering the item for sale. So do not bid if you do not intend to pay!
As it appears to be what most purchasers prefer, I send items to the UK/US/EU by the La Poste Courrier Internationale Prioritaire (the equivalent of first class post) or Courrier Internationale Economique (the equivalent of second class post); or, if the item weighs more than 2 kg, by Colissimo Internationale or Colis Economique Internationale ; and within France by Courrier Lettre Prioritaire or Courrier Ecopli ; or, if the item weighs more than 3 kg or cannot be 'flat packed', by Colissimo Emballage . Unless the purchaser specifically requests the use of one of the 'é conomique' services, I will invoice him or her for and send the item by one of the ' prioritaire' services (or, if appropriate, by the Colis or Colissimo parcels services). If insured or recorded or special delivery postal service is required, I will provide the French equivalent (through La Poste) if it is specifically requested by and at the prepaid expense of the purchaser. Unless the purchaser specifically requests and pays for insured or recorded or special delivery postal service, I do not accept any responsibility for items posted but not delivered or damaged in transit.
