THIS JACKET WAS WORN BY MY HUSBAND @ 1944-45. HE OBTAINED IT IN TEXAS WHILE HE WAS STATIONED THERE. I THINK HE WASN'T IN THE AIR CORPS LONG ENOUGH TO WEAR THE JACKET FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME.

THE JACKET WAS MADE BY J.L.TAYLOR - NEW YORK - CHICAGO, AS INDICATED BY THE CLEAR LABEL ON THE INSIDE. YOU CAN SEE IN THE PICTURE THAT THE INSIDE WAS NOT WORN - IT IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THE MATERIAL IS VERY GOOD, HAS BEEN IN A CEDAR CHEST - SMOKE FREE HOME.

THERE ARE MEDALS FOR : SHARPSHOOTER, PISTOL, MARKSMAN AND CARBINE. THERE IS A SHOULDER PIN WITH TORCH AND THE WORDS: UT VIRI VOLENT. I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS - DOES IT MEAN VOLUNTEER?

ALL BUTTONS ARE INTACT, NO WEARING AROUND BUTTONS.

A GOOD, CLEAN, LIKE-NEW WW2 JACKET.

GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR BIDDING.
