This is a complete set of US Army Air force sheep shearling flying gear. This includes the B-3 jacket, the A-3 trousers, A-1 over boots, Mittens and the shearling hat. I received this set complete as I am listing it from another collector, so I do not have any back story. The overall condition is very good. These sets were not made to stand up to use, and they often have period repairs, as well as manufacturing errors. The trousers have a period repair on the back side which is clearly visible on the back, it has been fixed by sewing a strip of cloth over the tear. The mittens are a pair from the same manufacturer; same size, but have different style labels. The hat is crushed, and has no size tag that I can recall. The boots do not appear to have ever been issued. They are in outstanding condition. WEENIE ALERT: For some reason, whenever I list these, the only people who look at them are guys wanting a fly-ass WW2 leather jacket they can go out clubbing in. What they find that they get is a fragile artifact that tears easily. LISTEN: these sets were made for guys who were not expected to survive. That’s right; most of them were going to DIE a few weeks after receiving their sets of these. Remember that when you wonder if you can wear this. They are cheap, they are crappy. The fact that any survive this nice is incredible. This jacket alone has two large FACTORY repairs to flaws on the back. If you are looking for a completely original complete set, this is exactly what you are looking for. If you want a fantasy flawless set, I can't help you, go buy a repro for $800 from US wings. This is sold as a collectable, not a wearable pimp coat. As a result, it is sold AS IS, AS PICTURED! No refunds, No returns! Foreign bidders pay with PayPal, and pay extra shipping.
