A superb WW2 British Army helmet. It retains all of it's period field applied thick sand textured paint. The paint is a khaki / stone colour. Most probably used in N Africa or Italy. The inside retains its original factory green which has a little surface rust, please see pics. The shell has a small shrapnel hole , please see last two pics , (impact from upwards inside going outwards) , there are no dents. The underside brim is stamped but it is a little too faint to make out. The chinstrap mount is stamped "11 /1940". The liner is in very good condition with the crown cushion still bendy. Liner dated 19 42 & stamped size 7 . The chinstrap is also in great condition with all four springs good. A really fine & unique example. POSTAGE:- .............
