I am selling off a major portion of my personal knife and bayonet collection". Wife has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and I'm selling collection to help offset medical expenses. for additional knives and bayonets. Very Good Condition - Collector WW2 U.S. or British Use Commando Dagger - Fairbairn Sykes 3rd Pattern WW2 U.S. or British use Pattern 3 Fairbairn Sykes dagger stiletto is 11-1/2" overall length with a 6-3/4" double edge "sharp" natural finish blade. Blade is in good condition with aging, fine sand grain pits, and scuffing on both sides of hollow ground blade... Handle is mid WW2 ribbed copper or bronze with brass pommel nut .... Handle has a darkened tarnishing but no pitting...Crossguard is brass with age tarnish.... MARKINGS: None visable.... See all photos to verify condition and description...!!! Sheath: WW2 Original USM8A1 BM Co Scabbard with good condition webbing, snaps, rivets and stitching. Body is in good condition with a tip repair. NOTE: The British government stopped using brass in their FS knife building in 1944. Brass was in short supply and was needed for ammo casings. Nickle, Bronze, Copper, Cast Iron, and Mild Steel was substituted in the building of crossguards and handles. Notably affected was the Pattern 3 knife
