We purchased this Officers WW2 medal grouping last year and sold them on Ebay.We have recently purchased this same Officers Visor cap and certificate from a different source. The Cap origianlly belonged to Lieut J.L.Newbigin of the Staffordshire Yeomanry. It is in nice condition having had little wear and is a size 7.It has its correct badge and buttons of the regiment. This Officer was KIA on October 25th 1942 near Galal during the Battle of EL-ALAMEIN..His unit had 28 Sherman and three Grant Tanks plus a few others. They suffered high casualties with many Tanks knocked out by the infamous German 88's of the Afrika Corps.......Interesting item for further research. He was entitled to a 39/45 and Africa Star with a clasp which I believe was 8th Army. plus a Defence and War Medal.
