I am told this is a WW2 British PARATROOPER HELMET or AIRBORNE ARMY HELMET.T The liner is marked BMB, 1942, size 6 3/4 .The liner has been cut so it can fit a bigger head, i figue it will fit a small to medium head. It is missing the chin strap, but other then those 2 flaws, it is in great shape. Very rare piece of history. please email me with info on the helmet so i can post it: Out Out of the Country sale, Shipping is $21.00 UPDATE: I am now told by an expert...thanks... that this is an WWII Motorcycle Dispatch Riders Helmet . A British Paratrooper Helmet and this Dispatch riders Helmet both have the same outer shell, but the liners are different. Many re-enactors buy one of these dispatch riders helmets to convert into the Paratrooper helmet.
