This item up for bids is a very respectable WW2 vintage crank up phonograph player. It reminds me of the one used in the movie G I Joe w the Army Sargent is looking for a phonograph to play a record sent to him by his wife from home. I think that movie had Robert Mitchum in it. In any case this is a very clean and working unit. The needle is in good condition and it plays well. Its a variable speed unit and plays the early victrola type phono records. This is a very impressive piece. Probably one of the best condition crank ups I have ever had. This one weighs about 13 pounds so its not super heavy. Otherwise this is a very clean and impressive unit. I have some victrola records I will list which were made for this vintage unit. They sound awesome when you play them. The old Glenn Miller Orchestra takes you right back to the 1940s. This is a very special and unique vintage collectable and these are becoming very scarce in working order. I have seen many at antique stores but many were broken and non working. This one works like it did the day it was made. Just a very respectable Ww2 vintage piece, authentic, and original. It will make one super read more
