Vintage WW2 era Atlantic very early automatic mens watch, a top quality Felca/Bidynator 17 jewelled incabloc F690 Swiss movement a case made by Ed Kummer ltd and fitted with a new quality calfgrain waterproof black strap with chrome buckle.Ed Kummer was the name of the company which became Atlantic watches in the late 1930s and made many timepieces for the military. The watch works and sets well keeping good time unfortunately the seconds sweep fnger is no longer present, the case has a fair amount of wear and scratches consummate to age, the crown which I think is a replacement [not recent] looks good and has only light wear, the military dial, Arabic numerals, fingers and outer seconds counter have patina but still very legible, the minute finger has lost some of it's luminous effect, the heavy duty glass has only light wear.On the stainless steel screw on back which is good with only light wear is stamped " Anti magnetic Swiss water resistant incabloc stainless steel back Swiss made automatic" on the inside back cover is stamped" Ed Kummer ltd BETTLACH"As with all preowned/vintage watches their water resistance cannot be guaranteed. It measures 30mm exc crown and lugs.A nice example of an early automatic wristwatch from a top quality manufacturer.
