!!!ATTENTION EBAY-NO BANNED SYMBOLS!!! Offered for your consideration: Absolutely Mint Original Deutsches Afrika Korps Pith Helmet. This helmet was issued to DAK troops as they arrived in Tunisia in 1941 as part of their "Desert Kit". The helmet is in un-issued MINT condition, with one small flaw, some minor mothing from 60+ years of storage. The insignia is in great condition and consists of both shields . Exterior shell is stellar and felt is clean . The interior is maker marked JHS and inside the band ink stamped 1942. Leather liner edge and chinstrap are in an unbelieveable state of preservation supple and perfect with no cracking or splitting . Overall this is the nicest DAK pith helmet I have ever seen! This probably came straight out of a quartermaster's warehouse, as much material was seized by the Allies after the DAK's hasty evacuation of Tunis in 1943. is a chance to grab a real piece of WWII History, this stuff is starting to vanish.
