This auction is in FULL compliance with all ebay rules/regulations. An original WW2 German death card for Willibald Federl, an Oberjager in a Gebirgsjager regiment and also a Seminarist. Awardede the Iron Cross 2nd Class, the Infantry Assault Badge, and the Silver Wound Badge. What makes this even more special is that it contains a summary of his life and war service. In April 1942 he entered service in Russia in a Gebirgsjager regiment; in December of that year he was sick with Typhus; in Sept. 1943 he returned to service in Russia; on Feb. 2, 1944 he was badly wounded in the arm, neck, and shoulder, but on May 28 he returned for the THIRD time to the Russian front! On Nov. 1, 1944, his "luck" finally ran out, as he suffered a fatal head wound at Krasny Brod, a village in north-eastern Slovakia. Thanks for looking, and good luck bidding!
