You are bidding on a VERY RARE example of a 100% original WW2 German Luftwaffe Junker Jumo 004 Jet Engine Heizkammer (Combustion Chamber) 109-004.304! This specific engine was ONLY used in the Me262 and Ar234 aircraft! The Junkers Jumo 004 was the world's first turbojet engine in production and operational use, and the first successful axial compressor jet engine ever built. Some 8,000 units were manufactured by Junkers in Germany during late World War II, powering the operational Messerschmitt Me 262 fighter jet and the Arado Ar 234 reconnaissance / bomber jet, along with prototypes including the Horten Ho 229 aircraft. Variants of the engine were produced in Eastern Europe for years following the war.A total of 6 of these chambers were used on the Jumo004.Recovered from the wreck of an Me262 Turbojet Fighter, this Jumo 004 Combustion Chamber is of late-war production As it came from a wreck, there is some slight corrosion, and obvious damage, but still 100% identifiable as originating from a Jumo 004, due to the construction, shape, and size! VERY SOLID, the it had one small section removed which was done for display purposes, in order to show the ignitor and internals. An EXTRAORDINARILY RARE item, it would make for an EXCELLENT centerpiece! I have indicated it's location in the last photos. Measuring approx. 10" x 20" in size,
