Up for auction is a WW2 German Luftwaffe One-Man Life Boat Bag (Puckhulle Fur Einmannschlauchboot) Sorry, our computer does not do umlauts. This bag would be worn similarly to a parachute on the back. It has a quick release buckle, plus a couple of straps for cinching down quickly. The bag appears to be complete with all hardware and has many snaps around the perimeter for easy access to raft. All the snaps are fully functional and marked PRYM--all snaps are present. The snaps have almost 100% paint. The bag material appears to be a linen/rayon mix and the color is a tropical olive (typical German). The straps are also a linen/rayon blend with center belt being a heavier looser weave material. T are mfg markings on both the front and inside front. It is manufactured by bpl and has stamped information filled-in on the stamps form (see photos) much like a parachute bag. Inside shows the original color (see photo). The condition is well used but fabric is sturdy. The outside is discolored by use. T are a few snags and a few small holes. It is in good, useable condition. Please keep in mind that this bag was meant to hold and protect a fairly bulky raft. It was probably stored in the bulk head of an airplane (hopefully, never to be used!) This auction is for the BAG ONLY t is NO raft. Please ask questions before bidding. All sales read more
