FINE OLD 100% ORIGINAL GERMAN LUGER / P08 HOLSTER WW2, DATED 1941, WITH MAKERS MARKS AND WAFFEN AMPS . This quality holster may have been untouched since the war. As you can see, it is very robust, has very little wear and retains nearly all its original finish with no signs of poor polishing or interference. This very well made, early war example is dated 1941 I think this style of holster is known as a softshell type, designed to be a little more comfortable to wear and favoured by higher ranking officers. These were also used w troops operated in cramped spaces, including the Luftwaffe and Tanks etc. The leather is very thick and strong with no cracking. The stitching is 100% with no rot at all. It has a perfect hinge, straps, quick release strap, tool pocket, bottom, belt retainers, magazine holder etc. Though unfortunately the buckle is missing. However this is a very easy repair as the strap is strong. The makers mark is - E G LEUNER GmbH, BAUTZEN, 1941. The Waffenampt is - WaA 170 with an eagle above the German symbol of this time period. I know little about German markings, but the symbol under the Eagle is at the same angle as those found on the pommel end of Luftwaffe daggers, instead of the more usual straight edged type. Could this be a Luftwaffe holster ? Or is this the usual configuration with these waffenampt marks Great opportunity to purchase a 100% original, untouched Luger holster with full markings.
