Today I have one of the last helmets from my personal collection. It is a M35 SD Kriegsmarine in good condition. It has about 40% of the original apple green paint that is darkened from age. The correct duel layered Navy decal remains at about 75% plus and is very nice. The tri color decal has been removed a long time ago, or it never had one. The helmet is an ET64 and batch number is 3679 with no dents, cracks, or dings. Has the name Beckmann painted in the back. The only drawback is the previous owner removed the liner because the original 1937 liner band was broken in 4 places and the liner would just fall out. He removed the inner band and installed it in a 1931 outer band and reinstalled it into the shell. The 1931 band is still in poor shape with 2 war time repairs, and one spot broken in the rear. At least it stays in now. The original early brass pins remain but only one brass washer, the other two are metal originals. Has some scrap marks around the edges on the inside from installation. The leather and tie string are original to the helmet. No chinstrap. Helmet has a lot of nice aged patina with the only real rust on the inside of the dome, but not too bad. Other then what is stated I guarantee this to be an original navy helmet with the correct Navy Decal. This is your chance to own, and see what a real Navy decal looks read more
