An interesting signed piece. German gas mask container date stamp 1934. This is the real deal not a reproduction. It appears to have gone through the war. Dent on top lid and two dents on bottom rim. T is some rust on the exterior and interior but t is no structural weakness or perforations and t is bare shiny metal visible on the bottom inside along with some rust. Very solid piece of workmanship. The sides appear to have been repainted as paint brush strokes are visible and the color is a bit more gray green compared to top, bottom and inside which is a darker green. The four footman loops are present and very solid. The top latch works fine and the lid has a snug fit.On the inside of the lid is a storage container, on this lid (it works fine) it has the date stamped between two other stampings. The stamping to the right of the date looks like a C with two letter B inside the C, the stamp to the left of the date could be a bird but I am not sure. I don't know if these are manufacturer and or inspection stamps. T is also what looks to be a signature in the inside of the lid. Top of lid has name Muller-A in white paint. Bottom has more lettering and the photos do not clearly show the hand writting near the rim and a black painted rectangular mark in the middle. Please ask questions before you bid. I tend to be critical and honest read more
