A WW2 period GERMAN NAVAL OFFICER lion's head sword, with the distributor name of ADOLF BRAUN. (Actually made by Eickhorn) This has a plain blade and normal brass hilt WITHOUT glass coloured eyes.Folding guards front and rear work perfectly. Fantastic detail to the patterns on the guards and lion's head. A very clean 'pipe-backed' blade with no damage. It is complete with it's ORIGINAL bullion knot, tied in a strange way around the top of the grip! Scabbard leather is perfect. Celluloid grip has some age cracks, but nothing serious. A high quality navy sword and extremely rare to find. Army swords and even Luftwaffe swords are still available, but I have not seen a navy sword offered for a long time. Extra pictures available on request. This item is listed elsew, so I have the right to remove it at any time if sold. THIS LISTING CONTAINS NO BANNED SYMBOLS OR ANYTHING CONTENTIOUS
