You are bidding on 15 original unpuplished photographs taken by a US GI as he walked through the ruins of Hitler's Berghof in the Obersalzburg area of Bavaria sometime in 1945. The photos show the front and side views, as well as inside the "great room" with the view looking out the famous large window of the great room. T is a nice shot of Hitler's dining room with the table and chairs still in it! and one of his Beer Garden. T is a photo of Hermann Goring's house and the road up the mountain to the "Eagle's Nest" that was blown by SS troops protecting the Fuhrer's residence. T is also one of what appears to be the ruins of the SS barracks located near the Berghof. These were taken by a GI and glued in a scrapbook, they have small areas of attached black paper and the GIs captions to the fronts. They measure 3-3/8" x 2-3/8". These came in a large lot of photos along with some other German photos and the concentration camp at Dachau (one of these photos of Dachau is included depicting a room full of "Bones" as the GI had captioned it). Please check my other auctions for the SS Dachau Camp pics. is a great site with pics of Hitler's house, check it out... /berghof.htm Buyer pays USPS PRIORITY MAIL SHIPPING OR FIRST CLASS SHIPPING, and insurance, if desired.
