You can reach us at to get a cash offer for your collection .*** Description: 1 vintage World War II blade marked Imperial M3 trench knife with M8 scabbard available. This blade marked Imperial M3 is in rare condition. This M3 was never carried, and has its original unused factory edges. This premium knife would make an important addition to any collection. This M3 measures 11 3/4" overall. The blade is marked 'US M3 IMPERIAL'. The pommel is stamped with the flaming bomb. This M3 trench knife did not have a sheath with it when I got it. I matched the knife with the sheath. The M8 sheath is stamped 'US M8 B.M. CO.'. It is also stamped 'B-N 7'. The G.I. that originally carried this sheath with a different M3, cut off the keeper strap purposely. The knife is held tight by the spring inside the throat of the sheath. Condition: This WW2 blade marked Imperial M3 fighting knife is in rare condition. This knife is in at least excellent unsharpened condition. Though it has never been carried or used. The only thing keeping this knife from being described as mint is the mild patina (which would be from the kind of very beginnings of rust that can almost be wiped off with a rag) on the blade's parkerized finish. Simichrome or Flitz polish would take off the patina easily, but that would negatively affect the parkerized blade finish. Nothing has to be done to the blade finish at all. The blade has about 99% of its parkerized finish-- maybe 1% of the parkerization has been rubbed off just from a collector sliding the knife into and out of an M8 sheath.The handle leather is nearly perfect, and is soft and not dry in any way. The pommel has no patina whatsoever. And the guard has much the same finish as the blade with just the occasional mild patina. The M8 scabbard is in excellent condition. As mentioned above, the sheath was altered in the field by cutting off the keeper strap. There are cosmetic scratches on the outside of the sheath. This fine blade-marked Imperial M3 fighting knife represents an important piece of American history, and would make a premium addition to any collection.
