World War 2 Japanese Type 30 bayonet with scabbard and frog for the Arisaka rifle. This is a unique one in that the scabbard is hand lettered. Translated it reads Training 163 .
T are no markings anyw on the bayonet that I can see. The bayonet is in good condition but has some surface rust. The blade has not been sharpened.
The scabbard still has most of it’s original finish but does have surface rust or oxidation. T are also several dents in it which makes it a little tough to insert and remove the bayonet. T are no other markings on the scabbard that I can see.
The frog is a rubberized canvas material but it has hardened from age. As you can see it is a little tattered on the hangers. T is an old piece of paper affixed to the front of the frog which is coming loose. Under the paper are painted numbers. Although not in the best condition it is still a very unique bayonet.
