Hello and welcome to this very rare opportunity to acquire an attributed Gallantry Grouping to a Casualty. Private William Perry of the Welch Regiment, Killed in Action in Rangoon, Burma 7th July 1945 attached to the 19th Dagger Division. � Everything you see is included and it is listed at 99p no reserve so will be sold to the highest bidder. � • The most interesting item and not something I have seen before is an "Immediate Award Gallantry Certificate" awarded to Pte. W. Perry. This certificate also includes a personal message of congratulations from signed by Major General J. W. Rees and bears his personal signature. It is dated 22nd March 1945. Please see attached picture. � • Death scroll bearing Private W. Perry's name. • Sympathy slip from Buckingham palace to his mother. • 4 x Medals. 1939-45 Star, Burma Star, Defence Medal and BWM. • Original Army (Territorial) Form E 531 A (Attestation Paper) dated September 1940. Very scarce document forming part of a grouping. Contains personal details including his address in Bolton which would aid research. � • Original Period Photographs of Pte W. Perry and one of ships. • Condolence letter to his mother from his C.O confirming details of his death whichever says was caused by "Enemy Shell Shrapnel". � • Original Newspaper Memorial cutting from his mother after his death. read more
