An original World War Two letter written by female pilot Kate Lee Harris. The letter is dated December 1, 1943. At the top of the letter there is a logo with her name and there is a woman with wings and it mentions Avenger Field Sweetwater, Texas. In the letter she mentions being the first to solo the AT-6. I currently have other letters written by this individual listed. The letter reads: Doug, darling, Well it seems I go from one extreme to the other.........Remember I was about the last person to solo the BT, but as things turned out I was the first in our class to solo the AT-6 beleive it or not!..............guess what I am now doing-trying to fly the beam and I do mean trying. I have just started on the radio part of Link and think it is going to be a lot of fun..................................................................... ...Kate Lee The letter has some wear and stain marks.
