World War Two U.S. Model M1 helmet shell and complete liner. Mid-war helmet has the edging seam in the front and swivel bails. Nicest original paint I’ve seen in a long time. Early khaki helmet chin strap has been GI modified or repaired as seen in the photos, and shows some fraying at the clasp end. Helmet is stamped under the front brim with an “S” and “213A”. No stress cracks or other condition issues, just some paint scuffing on the rim. The liner is Westinghouse marked and has not been repainted since it’s manufacture. Light scattered white specs are present on the outer surface of the liner but should clean up fine. All khaki suspension with clean hardware. Leather sweatband shows use but is solid as well. Good liner chin strap that is not brittle or worn where it contacts the brim. There are markings on the sweatband cloth and the nape strap but they’re faint and I can’t make them out very well . A nice solid helmet with great original finish that will display well in your collection. Thank you for your interest. PLEASE – READ MY TERMS.
