This auction is for an original, World War 2, M1 helmet liner. This is not a restored or reproduction, it is an original, high-pressure liner manufactured by Westinghouse. The marking is clearly stamped in the upper inside crown of the liner, and this one is in really great shape. The exterior appears to have the original paint, showing some signs of scuffing due to storage. The chinstrap is showing it’s age, it has some cracking; however, it is still pliable. The interior is extremely nice; there are no signs of wear on any of the webbing or the nap. The sweatband does have a small stain toward the front of the liner. This liner is near mint or unissued. I have had this in my collection for many years and have decided to sell. This would make a great addition to your U.S. military collection. I currently do not sell internationally Thanks
