Up for bid is an original WW2 US Navy Mark 2 fighting knife in very good condition. Its sharpened 6 and 7/8 inch blade has sharpening scratches, has dark patina spots, and maintains 60% of its parked finish. Cross guard under side is marked U.S.N. MK 2 and R.C.C. Cross guard and pommel maintain their parked finish, have oxidation spots, and have dark patina spots. Stacked leather washer handle is very tight but the pommel is not level so there is some damage to the washers. Scabbard mount is marked U.S.N. MK 2 on its front and NORD – 6581 B.M. Co. /8 vp on its obverse. Mount maintains its parked finish and has oxidation spots. Gray plastic scabbard body has no cracks and has some damage (see photos). Its gray green canvas frog has some fray damage, its handle button functions well, and steel parts have oxidation spots.
